The hardest part of our move was we could not take our little cat Gypsy with us. She was fifteen years old and was in failing health. Her appatite was declining and she appeared to be in a lot of pain in the last weeks and my mother made the decision it would be kinder to put her to sleep. It took me a long time to come to terms with this reality, but I've handled Gypsy's passing much better than I thought I would. In the last weeks of Gypsy's life, I knew I had to make peace with what needed to be done. And looking at Gypsy I knew it was for the best. She didn't get up a lot and she spent most of her time on my bed since it was the most comfortable place. And despite our efforts to help her, she didn't get any better. And I realized she wasn't going to get better. So my mom took her to the vet and she passed peacefully from this world.
Part of what helps me out a great deal is our remaining cat Leo. Basically he stays with me in my bedroom and sleeps on my bed. Thankfully he is brimming with energy and I believe we will have several good years with him. He's also learning to get along with my grandmother's chiuahuah, Honey. So far, they seem to be getting along all right...as long as Honey doesn't get too close to his personal space. And even then, he just runs away and hisses at her.
I also find a lot of joy in spending time with my horse Logan. He's been a huge comfort during a hard time like this.
Yes, I know there are people who say, well, she's just a cat. It's not something you should be so torn up over. But being an animal lover, and even more of a cat lover, I see our babies as members of our family. We'd even get them presents at christmas and put kitty treats in little bitty stockings with their names on them. And when it's time to let them go, it's a very hard thing to do. But the most comforting thing as hard as it sounds is knowing we did the right thing for our little baby. It is kinder to let them go to a better place free of pain and sickness than to try to keep them a little longer knowing they're suffering.
Also after we got settled in we got digital cable and I have discovered two awesome animes. One being Devil May Cry(and to me Dante is a yummy looking dish!) and the other being Black Blood Brothers. I've only seen the first five eps, and I have completely fallen in love with the main character Jiro. I see his character as a mix of Alucard from Hellsing, Able from Trinity Blood, and a bit of D from Vampire Hunter D. How do I come up with this comparison? Well, at times Jiro can be cocky like Alucard can be(and often is.) There are a few times when Jiro can be a bit accident prone like Able tends to be sometimes. And there's a side of him that is angst ridden like D often is.
They're both awesome animes from what I've seen and I intend to buy both series so I can see how they unfold.
If anybody happens to know a good place to find screen caps of either of these shows...please let me know.
Also, I got the chance to take my mother to the movies for mother's day. We saw X Men Origins, Wolverine. First, fantastic movie! Lots of action and a bit of humor. Second, Hugh Jackman is without a doubt one of the sexiest men on this planet!! Third, one of the other featured mutants, Gambit is quite a dish himself. If you're a fan of Hugh Jackman or X Men, this movie is defintely worth seeing. It's also going on my dvd wish list and I intend to snatch up a copy the moment it's realeased to dvd.

I don't think Dante and Alucard would get on all that well if they ever met. I can't help but think that Dante might dislike the undead a little since meeting with Nevan
